This film is based on the subject of a King and also a lover. The film revolves around the courtesan, Rashmi, (Ruturaj) and the King, Motu Patlu.
Plot
The film opens up with a bride entering into a marriage with her lover. Her bridegroom starts kissing her which soon escalates and the boy grabs her by the waist and kisses her. The scene changes to a courtesan, Rashmi, who is about to be molested by a man, but she bites his ear which creates a fight. Rashmi ends up killing a boy named Choudhary and is put to jail.
The man who molested her is a person named Shree Kumar (Mukul Dev). He was a lover of Rashmi's mother. But Shree Kumar is a small-time, uneducated thug who was also a gambler and a pickpocket. His mother kept him out of work by providing him money and she even treated him like a son. After she died, Shree Kumar started visiting Rashmi's home and made advances towards her. She usually refused to grant him favours as she had a choice. Shree Kumar once became a person in court because he was involved in a brawl and he had to go to jail.
Rashmi was put to jail for four years when she was released in 1996. But by then, she had lost her sense of taste and had learnt the trade of serving drinks at bars. She was once serving drinks to a man who was drunk. A person named Baba Sahib was present there and when the man saw him, he ran away in fear. Baba Sahib is an affluent person.
Shree Kumar's mother died in 1998. He was extremely angry at Rashmi for being a rowdy and killing Choudhary. He started visiting Rashmi's bar and started asking her about her past life and about her encounters with Choudhary. Shree Kumar's good looking nephew Samrat was also a frequent visitor to Rashmi's bar.
Samrat comes to Rashmi's bar with Shree Kumar and he is shocked to see Choudhary's dead body lying on the table. He asks Rashmi about it and she tells him that Choudhary wanted to meet her as he had some business to do. Samrat and Shree Kumar both feel that Rashmi is lying. Samrat calls Shree Kumar who insists that Rashmi had killed
